Iran Travel : Esfahan 1st to 3rd May 2014

It's Labour Day!

We took the 8am bus to Esfahan and reached there at 2pm. One long tiring journey.

Light breakfast on our own before the long journey

Mr Taheri gave us a note on places we should visit

At the Bus Station

Two women; one wearing full chador while the other one's wearing shawl

On the bus. somebody's taking a selfie.

This is the usual scenery along the way from Tehran to Esfahan

Thank God there's a pee stop of about 10 minutes.

Reached Esfahan after 6 hours. Our van driver is here!

Hotel Piroozy. Costs us RM360 a night.

A double bed and two single bed in one room. Tolerable but could be better.

Since we have nothing to do, we visited the Imam Square for shopping. Yeah!

Bought shawls for my siblings for RM10 per piece
A copper tea-set for a friend at RM280. They wanted RM440 if with a platter.

A table-cloth that costs RM100

The Armennian Church. Read the banner.

Tombs of 2 persons laid infront of the door leading into the church. It is claimed that these two persons are blessed each time someone stepped on their tombs. Well, if that makes them happy, who am i to say anything....

Paintings on the wall depicting hell

The beautiful ceiling

Looking through the microscope, you can read an inscription on a strand of hair.

A VERY small book..

The shaking minarets

Esfahan's Fire Temple. The Guide, Jaafar, wouldn't let us climb up.

One of the beautiful neighbourhoods with trees lining the road.

My favourite time: lunch! About RM30++ for 4 pax

The Quranic verses along the garden leading to Imam Square

Imam Square is beautiful

Besides visitig the mosque, it is shopping and more shopping

A 1,000 year old Quran

the old trees that were cut down

music room

They raised the floor to protect it making the doorway shorter than before

The bus journey from Esfahan To Yazd.  Another 6 grueling hours with constant picking up of passengers along the way. The hardly stop for pee breaks. I only went down once.

Scenery along the way

Lovely Hotel Dad.

The hotel rooms face the courtyard. It is amazing to see at night. Ok, my photography skills aren't that great.
One Double bed and 2 single beds. The room is spacious and very bright.  Love it!
